The town of Rogaska Slatina is located in the eastern part of Slovenia . Since 1994 is the seat of the municipality that joins the community of Rogaska Slatina, and Sveti Kostrivnica Florijan.

The municipality has more than 11,500 inhabitants, of which almost half (5,500) live in the town of Rogaska Slatina. It extends over three valleys, along streams and Ratanski Irski Potok, that spill into the river Loznica. It is surrounded by mountains Boč (980 m), Plešivec (832 m), Donačka gora (883 m) and the other mountains.

Important tourist spots are also the heights near the spa and natural health - Bellevue, Cvetlični (flowers) and Tavčarjev hrib, Janina, and Rodne Tržaški hrib. The numerous forests contribute to a warm, humid climate. The municipality then enjoys a pleasant climate with mild winters subpannonico.

On the hills, 500 meters above sea level, different varieties of vines thrive.
