Island of Rab
The island of Rab is located 180 km from Trieste and is connected to the mainland by a frequent ferry line Jablanac and from June to September the island Krk with the line Baska - Lopar (less frequently).
The island of Rab is twenty-two kilometers long and an average width of eleven, and is separated from the mainland by the channel of Velebit southeast, from the channel island of Pag Pasko, from the islands of Cres and Losinj Kvarneric west of the channel, while towards The island Krk is the channel port Senjska. Among the green lizards reptiles abound and there are no poisonous snakes on the island, there are different types of butterflies and colorful frogs and crickets.
