Located in the Bay of Kvarner island of Losinj island of Cres is connected by a rotating bridge that crosses the flume Osor, has its own airport, and, in addition to the line that connects Cres to the mainland is served by ferries to / from Pula and Zadar (about once a week). The coast is very jagged and the territory rich in natural pine. The waters around the island are inhabited by a colony of dolphins and diving you can see a wreck in 1917, the reef and sea cave at Susak.

The two main villages - Mali and Veli - are surrounded by beautiful natural pine - Veli (Veli Losinj) is a typical fishing village with pastel-colored baroque houses grouped around the harbor, cobbled streets and houses buried in the green towards the rocky coast, while Mali (Mali Losinj), on the northeast coast, is more touristy, with many hotels merged well with the landscape and the beautiful bay of Cikat (pebbles and sand). The island has preserved several small eremitic churches and you can easily organize excursions to neighboring islands including Susak - island of 3.8 square kilometers consisting of sand - and Ilovik - 5.8 sq km - hilly island with many bays and lush flora ( oleanders and roses). Mali is greater than Lussingrande!
