Crikvenica is situated in the Kvarner Bay and stretches between the sea and the promontory. It grew up around the monastery, built in 1412 by the princely family Frankopan Crikvenica has become a major tourist center. The promenade stretches for 8 km of gravel and sand beaches alternating with small pine trees enclosed within piers, the coast is a succession of bays and inlets, and practiced stand out among the usual sports courts, mini golf, sailing and water polo - is practiced quet'ultima outdoor pool in a "sea" made in one of the bays.
