The Croatian has a very diverse area in the morphological appearance, with plains and low hills c alcarei and a coastline full of coves, bays and inlets off the coast which are a thousand islands. There are three regions where it is possible to divide the territory: the section north-west (Slavonia) and the center of the country (and Podravina Posavina), where the foothills of the Pannonian basin are fertile plains bathed by the rivers Drava and Sava, the Coast Adriatic, occupying the entire western side of the country and includes the peninsula of ' Istria , karst plateau located at the northwest of the country, Kvarner and Dalmatia , a region of limestone reliefs from the heavily indented coastline fronted by numerous islands, including Brac , Cres, Korcula and Vis, most recently, the mountain range of the Dinaric Alps, running parallel to the Dalmatian coast and eastern natural border with Bosnia-Herzegovina, which extends into the southwestern section of the country. On the Croatian side, the chain culminates in Mount Dinara (1,831 m).
